Grey Lynn Farmers’ Market
The idea to set up a Grey Lynn Farmers Market came out of one of the first community meetings of Grey Lynn 2030. Access to locally sourced food is a really vital part of our vision of a sustainable community so it was great to see the market get established so quickly through the efforts of a small team committed to practical action.
The Grey Lynn Farmers’ Market is a not-for-profit, community owned and operated food-only market which was launched in the spring of 2009.
The Market is held every Sunday (except the last of the month) 9am – 12.30pm at the Grey Lynn Community Centre, Richmond Road
We aim to draw our community together each week to provide fresh, local produce in a unique, vibrant inner-city location. We encourage community participation by offering a membership system. Membership costs $30 for the year and gives you a 10% discount on your purchases, plus the right to vote for the management committee which runs the organisation.
If you’re interested in helping to guide this market, have a chat with Judith or Paul at the market’s information desk, or send us an e-mail at admin@glfm.co.nz.
