The Grey Lynn Community Centre is hosting a huge open-day and party this Saturday 6th October called Jam on Toast,from 12.30pm til late, with music, food, family friendly activities and more.
There’s a singing pirate, cartooning workshops and story-telling with Phineas Phrog. For the grown-ups, MC Madeline Sami will oversee the music for the evening that includes Eagle Haast, Otis McCrae, Hootchy Kootchy Burlesque, salsa and Richard Raine.
GLFM stallholders will be there, serving hot delicious food to the punters: Indira’s Indian food, Argentinian empanadas, Juice Up Organic, Sweet Expectations, Hakanoa Handmade gingerbeer and a vegetarian sausage sizzle thanks to 350.org. There will be a cash bar from 5pm onwards.
