The Auckland Council’s “no-spray register” allows property owners to opt out of having their street frontage sprayed with herbicides

To join the list, residents need to prove they live at the address and agree to take responsibility for controlling weeds in their street frontage, kerb, and channel area.

Auckland Council provides an online form for this purpose.

How to join the No-Spray Register:
If you join the no-spray register, you are responsible for managing weeds on your street frontage, kerb, and channel area.
You need to ensure the area is weed-free to avoid the council resuming spraying.
If you move or no longer want your property on the list, you can request removal from the register.
