Waitemata Local Board: Ecological Restoration Overview

Some of our local parks, Jaggers Bush, Western Springs Park and Wellpark Reserve (opposite Westmere School) are at the highest level within Waitemata Local Board for Ecological Restoration.

We have some beautiful urban ngahere in Waitemata,  cared for and maintened by the work of Auckland Council’s specialist contractors and also helped by community groups.

Auckland Council can’t give the close care of every park in Waitemata – there are too many. If you are interested in ecological restoration for a park near you, contact Urban Ark to help protect your park from weeds and invasive predators.
