Wellpark Reserve – Native Tree Planting

We have a winter native tree planting event at Wellpark Reserve

We’ll be adding some new plant species to the already beautiful inner city forested area, to increase plant diversity and provide a wider range of food sources for native birds and other wildlife.

Plants provided by Auckland Council and Urban Ark

So Urban Ark can work out how much gear and catering to provide they would appreciate if you can  rsvp phil@urbanark.nz

Meet – ​by the picnic table near the bridge.

Look for the Urban Ark flag.

-Sturdy boots (gumboots ideal for boggy areas)

-Water bottle

-Spade if you own one

-Gardening gloves if you own some

It is interesting to consider the ecosystem that is in your area – and was far more obvious before humans came along. That ecosystem is still there and if you plant the right plants they thrive.
