Local Government Waitemata
Internationally Transition Towns focus on Local Government. For Grey Lynn 2030, that means working with Auckland Council and Waitemata Local Board on community iniatitives to create our vision of resilient local communities.
Pippa Coom, a founding member of Grey Lynn 2030 was elected to the Waitemata Local Board and then to Auckland Council. This fits with our vision as a Transition Town.
