Electrify Grey Lynn
Electrify Grey Lynn started in February 2025. We are a voluntary group designed to motivate and support each other as we electrify our homes, businesses and transport.
Homes that are powered by renewable energy, reduce energy bills and their carbon emissions.
We are one of the Rewiring Aotearoa communites.
While our group is based in Grey Lynn, we welcome anyone interested in the electrification journey. As we say, Grey Lynn is not just a place, it’s a state of mind!
Your location is less important than your desire to transition away from gas and embrace electric solutions.
For Grey Lynn 2030, Electrify Grey Lynn is latest iteration in our interest in Energy. The Energy focus group started in 2012 were led by local energy expert Chris Olsen. Chris was way ahead of his time - we are in 2025 finally catching up with him! The 'current" has changed. Gas is getting too expensive and is runnning out. Solar/batteries are dropping in price.
